Job Description:

An exciting opportunity in East London awaits an experienced Junior Store Manager who is passionate about the FMCG retail industry.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Matric Certificate
  • Computer Literacy
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ FMCG and management experience essential
  • Working experience with Arch Software is beneficial
  • Completed Tertiary Qualification in retail management would be highly advantageous
  • Valid driver license and own vehicle essential
  • Strong command of English
  • Knowledge of inventory control (perishables; stock management; rotations; wastage control, ordering, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Food safety and hygiene control
  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

  • This candidate would be shadowing the Assistant Store Manager
  • Overall support to the Assistant Store Manager
  • Provide quality and personalised service to customers
  • Ensuring that correct processes are followed to increase efficiency
  • Inventory control
  • Food safety and hygiene control
  • Monitoring promotions
  • Assist with HR related responsibilities
  • Assessing stock levels and assisting on the floor as required
  • Monitoring stock movements and current stock holdings

Salary:  Basic Offering of R7000.00 -R10 000.00 depending on experience
