Job Description:

Our established client seeks the skills of an energetic and driven Parts Counter Salesman for their Johannesburg Branch.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive industry or parts product knowledge
  • Must possess parts experience either stemming from earthmoving machinery, car dealership, construction equipment, forklift or motor vehicle spares company.
  • Clear Understanding of Earthmoving equipment preferred
  • OEM parts background preferred
  • Must be target driven and know how to upsell
  • Ability to provide good service and satisfy customers
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong, disciplined personality with numeracy skills and good attention to detail
  • Technical Background (Parts, Services & Warranties)
  • Experience working on ACCPAC beneficial
  • Valid Driver license

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve workshop and counter customers
  • Communicate with and provide service to all walk-in and call-in customers
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with existing customers
  • Meet and exceed assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Monitor Sales orders and quotations and action accordingly
  • Process all quotations and invoices for dealers timeously.
  • Monitor Sales orders and quotations and action accordingly
  • Process all back-orders in a timely manner
  • Follow up on all back orders and keep customers informed
  • Responsible for invoicing and receiving daily credit notes and ensure that they are processed
  • Submit weekly reports to the Parts Supervisor
  • Continually study equipment specifications to improve product knowledge

Salary:  Comparative market-related salary, subject to  candidate experience.
