Job Description:

Our client, a distributor of leading agricultural engineering equipment seeks an experienced candidate to fulfil the role of Commercial Manager – to be based in East London.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Completed BCom Accounting Degree
• Minimum 5 years’ experience at management level – within a commercial/ operations environment is essential
• Fully bilingual – able to speak English and Afrikaans
• Working knowledge of Sage/ Accpac – highly beneficial
• Valid drivers’ license – essential
• Detail orientated with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

The successful candidate would be required, but not limited to;

• Be responsible for the financial management of the division; reviewing monthly management accounts, preparing board packs for quarterly Executive Management meetings, and presenting financials for same.
• Responsible for daily cash flow management; preparing and reviewing multiple cash flow forecasts
• Responsible for managing the whole goods stock order pipeline with relevant OEM’s
• Management of foreign currency payments and ensuring financial institutions are supplied with the relevant information for the clearing of cross border payments
• Management of stock control processes; pricing of imported whole goods from OEM’s
• Tasked with the implementation and management of dealer floor plans
• Responsible for liaising with financial institutions and OEM’s alike
• Management of the complete debtors’ process; focusing on enforcing payment terms by dealers; hand-over of overdue debtors
• Assisting the General Manager with preparation of ad-hoc reports and business analysis
